Tas: Injured driver dies in Hobart hospital

Tasmania's holiday road toll has risen to three with the death in hospital of a 20-year-old
Launceston man from injuries he received in crash on Monday.

Police say the man died in the Royal Hobart Hospital today from injuries and burns
he sustained when the car he was driving crashed at Beaumaris, on the state's east coast,
early on Monday morning.

He was the driver of a Commodore which crashed and caught fire. No other vehicle was involved.

The other occupant of the car, a man from Launceston also aged 20, died in hospital on Monday.

Tasmania's road toll for 2003 stands at 41, compared to 37 at the same time last year.
